Minutes

The Democratic Club of Cape Coral meeting was called to order by President Kay Nichols at 1:10. Both President and Vice President were present. Vice President transcribed the minutes of the meeting. The President had everyone give name and where they were from. Very exciting as several new faces showing interest to join the club.

Erika Kiah, Program Coordinator for HTAP-Human Trafficking Awareness Partnership, gave informative talk on how prevalent trafficking is in Lee County. Passed out phone numbers on where to call if anyone suspects this activity, and told us how the local organizations are handling this problem.

Minutes for April and May distributed for review. Sharon Davies made motion to accept minutes and Tim Hawes seconded the motion. Minutes passed.

The Treasurers report was distributed, available money in account $739.46. Sharon Davies made motion to accept treasurers report and Tim Hawes seconded the motion and all agreed.

Old business Tim Hawes reported on progress of new web site said should be up in next couple weeks.

No one volunteered to take up the secretary position so The President said will put the call out to other members that weren’t in attendance.

There will be no meeting in June.
