Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 1:05 p.m. by President Kay Nichols with quorum present.  The Secretary, Lisa Rosier was not present so Sharon Davies volunteered to take minutes.

The meeting started with a presentation by Winston Negron outlining the ideas he felt needed to be implemented to help grow the Club.  The Minutes were then presented; Pat Trotter moved to accept the minutes and the motion was seconded by Mary Ann Ferrarese; the motion carried.  Mary Ann Ferrarese then presented the current treasury report.  No questions were raised so the report was accepted. 

 Kay Nichols relayed the information she had received as guidance for electing new officers and responded to questions concerning the events that occurred leading up to the elections.  Sharon Davies presented a motion to elect officers for 6 months because of the issues we faced and to allow new members an opportunity to have a leadership role.  It was seconded by Kay Nichols and approved by the membership.

Officers elected were:  Kay Nichols, President; Pat Trotter, Vice President; Sharon Davies, Secretary; and Mary Ann Ferrarese, who agreed to remain as Treasurer.  The Officers will be sworn in during the February meeting.

 Following the elections, the Club members had a free form discussion of ideas for growing and the type of topics we would be interested in exploring.  Our goals included:

•  1 on 1 - Contact new Dems
•  Recruiting – walk bys
•  Social Media
•  Website            
•  Press Releases
•  Fundraisers – 50/50
•  Events
•  Information Sharing
• Topics for Speakers
•          Mayor Sawicki             
•          Patient Advocacy
•          Dwyer- on Fracking
•          Medical Marijuana

There being no other business, Pat Trotter moved that the meeting be adjourned and it was seconded by Steve Arancio.  The meeting adjourned at 2:34 p.m.
