Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 12:58 by President Kay Nichols with quorum present.

President Kay Nichols introduced guest speaker Guido Minaya, candidate for Lee County School Board district 7. He gave the club members his personal and professional history, and described his desire to run. He discussed moving Lee County Schools towards a 21st century education. He also commented on common core, and how it was implemented. President Kay Nichols allowed for questions and answers afterward.

Motion to accept the minutes as circulated by Pat Trotter seconded by Tim Hawes.

Motion to accept the treasurer's report as circulated by Tim Hawks seconded by Marie Shively.

President Kay Nichols thanked everyone who voted through email for the new board of directors. The Board of Directors are: Steve Arancio, Tim Hawes, Winston Negron, Ginger Nygren, and Marie Shively.

President Kay Nichols discussed the by-laws that have passed out, and that a vote would be taken at next month's meeting on changes.

Tim Hawes asked if the agenda and minutes could be emailed prior to the meetings.

President Kay Nichols asked if there is something you want to do or speakers you want to address the members please write it down and get it to her.

Tim Hawes asked about getting someone from the city to come in to talk about the utility expansion and reclaimed water.

Motion to adjourn by Tim Hawes, seconded by Pat Trotter, meeting adjourned @ 1:58
