VOTING INFORMATION

In the State of Florida you have a choice of 3 ways to vote:

VOTE BY MAIL

Traditionally called Absentee Voting, in the State of Florida it is available to all residents. Vote-by-Mail allows you to skip the traditional waiting in lines that many voters encounter.

IMPORTANT - Vote-by-Mail requests must be received by 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday 12 days prior to the election.

Register for Vote-by-Mail at lee.vote
Call the Elections Office at 239-LEE-VOTE (239-533-8683);
Go to 1021 SE 9th Place, Suite 3, Cape Coral.
Your Ballot will then be mailed to you approximately 3 weeks prior to election. (Please note: If you decide you want to go to the polls, you must take your ballot with you to have it voided.)

EARLY VOTING

You can go to any designated sites and vote early.

Early voting generally starts 10 days prior to Election Day and ends the Saturday before.
Dates are announced well in advance or you can go to the lee.vote

ELECTION DAY

You can still vote on Election Day.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Voters in line as of 9 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

5:00 p.m., Thursday, August 8th —Deadline to request a Vote-by-Mail Ballot to be mailed. click here
Before 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, August 20th, for any election—Deadline to return a Vote-by-Mail ballot

By Mail
If you plan to return your ballot in the mail, we suggest you do so no later than Saturday, August 10th.

Hand Delivery
You or someone you choose may return your ballot to any branch office location no later than 7:00 pm on Election Day.

Early Voting – Saturday, August 10th through Saturday, August 17th - click here for locations & times
On Election Day, Tuesday, August 20th, specific polling locations in Lee County will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
