Your rights regarding Voting Eligibility:
1. If someone challenges your right to vote, you have the right to an explanation in writing,
and you have the right to vote after affirming you are eligible. §§101.031(2) and 101.111
2. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. If you are in line at your
polling place, or in the process of voting, when the polls close, you have the right to vote. §§
100.011(1) and 101.031(2).
3. If you do not have your voter registration identification card with you on Election Day, you
still have the right to vote. § 101.043
4. If you do not have proper ID but are on the poll list, you have the right to vote a regular
ballot after filling out an affidavit that you are registered to vote. §§ 101.043 (1), (2) and
101.49.
5. If you are a first-time voter who registered by mail and you have not previously provided ID
to the supervisor of elections, you have the right to vote a provisional ballot. However, your
vote will not be counted if you are in the wrong precinct. §§ 101.043 and 101.048(2). Check
with an Election Protection volunteer or call _____________ before you cast a provisional
ballot to confirm that you are in the correct precinct – to help ensure that your vote will
count.
6. If you have moved within the county in which you are registered to vote, you have the right
to vote at your new polling place after filling out a written affirmation of your address. §
101.045(2)(a)
7. If your name does not appear on the precinct register, and poll officials cannot determine
whether you are in the right precinct, you have the right to vote a provisional ballot after
filling out a Provisional Ballot Voter's Certificate and Affirmation. § 101.048. However, if you
vote in the wrong precinct, your vote will not be counted. § 101.048(2)(b)2. Check with an
Election Protection volunteer or call ___________ before you cast a provisional ballot to
confirm that you are in the correct precinct – to help ensure that your vote will count.
8. If a poll official does not believe that you are who you claim to be, you have the right to vote
a regular ballot after filling out an affidavit that you are registered to vote. §§ 101.043 (1), (2)
and 101.49.
9. If you have changed your name, you have the right to vote after filling out a written
affirmation verifying your old and new names and address. §101.045(2)(b) .
Your rights regarding Voter Assistance:
10. You have the right to receive a demonstration on using the voting equipment before
casting your vote. § 101.5611(1)
11. You have the right to receive up to two replacement ballots from the election officials if
you make a mistake on your ballot while voting. §§ 101.031(2) and 101.5608(2)(b)
12. If you cannot read or write, or you are blind or otherwise disabled, you have the right to
request assistance with voting after taking an oath to affirm that you require assistance. §§
97.061 and 101.051
13. You have the right to receive written instructions to use when voting, and, upon request,
oral instructions from voting elections officers. § 101.031(2)
14. You have the right to receive ballots, instructions, and other voting materials in Spanish in
Broward, Hardee, Hendry, Hillsborough, Miami-Dade, Orange, Osceola, and Palm Beach
Counties, and to receive voting materials in American Indian Seminole in Broward, Collier,
and Glades Counties. § 101.2515; 42 U.S.C. § 1973 et seq.; 67 Fed. Reg. 48,871.
15. You have the right to bring these Voters’ Rights to the voting booth with you.
16. You have the right to vote without anyone soliciting or trying to influence your vote in any
way when you are within 50 feet of the entrance to the polling place. §102.031(3)(c)
